Block of the Month

Each month, a block pattern is posted on this page. Members make a block and turn it in at the meeting. The names of the members who made a block are entered into a drawing and the winner gets all the blocks for the month!

2017 Block of the Month

Our BOM Chair, Sheila Colvin, has chosen a fun and easy block for us this year.  The block design stays the same: each block  uses WHITE or WHITE ON WHITE as the stable color, and the contrasting color will change each month.  The contrast color should be a solid or read as solid.

  • Cut 2 – 5″ squares – 1 white – 1 color of the month.
  • Place the 2 squares right sides together.
  • Stitch 1/4 inch around outside edge.
  • Cut corner to corner.
  • Press to dark.
  • Flip half square triangle blocks to make pinwheel block.
