Embroidery/Workshop

Join Ellen G for this workshop to create the Crooked Path Quilt.  Ellen will break down the steps to make this intricate-looking quilt a breeze to create.  This is a large quilt (approximate size: 80” x 100”) with large blocks for maximum impact.  You can make fewer blocks so it finishes about 60” x 80” without losing the design impact.

Advance reservations are required for this event.  Cost is $25.

FABRIC REQUIREMENTS:

Two Colorways:

  • 2/3 yards each of 10 fabrics for Colorway #1
  • 2/3 yards each of 10 fabrics for Colorway #2

If you would like to use fat quarters instead, they must have AT LEAST 21” of usable length:

  • 24 Fat Quarters of Colorway #1
  • 24 Fat Quarters of Colorway #2

Four Colorways – This will give you a different color for each vertical “streak”:

  • 2/3 yards each of 10 fabrics for Colorway #1
  • 2/3 yards each of 10 fabrics for Colorway #2
  • 2/3 yards each of 10 fabrics for Colorway #3
  • 2/3 yards each of 10 fabrics for Colorway #4

SUPPLIES:

  • Sewing machine in good working order
  • Rotary cutter
  • Cutting Mat (at least 24” long in one direction)
  • Rotary rulers – recommend 6” (or 6-1/2”) x 24” and 12-1/2” x 12-1/2”
  • Marking pencil that will show up on the wrong side of fabric
  • Straight pins
  • Extra scrap paper to use to label blocks and pieces
  • Pencil or pen
