About Us Florida Cabin Fever Quilters Guild opened its doors to Central Florida in 1986, over 30 years ago. Since then, our members have produced thousands of quilts for community service as well as personal use. Our activities include a challenge quilt, a 12-month block of the month (available to non-members as well), and monthly meetings which provide entertaining and/or educational programs. We bring in national teachers to host workshops and lectures. Our teachers have included Kestrel Michaud, Laura Wasilowski, Kimberly Einmo, Andrea Schnur, Nancy Prince, Suzanne Marshall, Joan Shay and Karol Kusmaul. Meetings Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of the month at the Marks Street Recreational Center in Orlando, unless there is a schedule or holiday conflict. Please visit our Events Calendar for more information on our upcoming programs. Meetings begin with a social hour at 5:00. The business meeting and program begin at 6:00pm and run until 8:00pm. Most meetings feature a program regarding an aspect of quilting. The speaker may be a member of the Guild, a local or nationally known quilter, writer, appraiser or collector.
