Meetings Prizes There is a membership drawing at each meeting. Each member attending receives a ticket before the meeting starts. The door prize is drawn from these tickets. Block of the Month Each month, a different color or combination of colors from which to make a block will be announced – the blocks are due at the following month’s meeting. Blocks will be collected, sorted and distributed as kits to make quilts for donation. Kudos Members who have notable accomplishments are recognized during the meeting. A sign-in sheet is available before the meeting to list this information. Sunshine Know a guild member who is ill, has lost a loved one, or needs a note of encouragement? Inform the Sunshine Chair, and she will provide a little “sunshine” in the form of a card from the guild. Show & Tell Members bring in finished quilts, quilt tops, clothing, etc. that they have made to share with members. It’s like a quilt show at every meeting! ! Name Tags Guild members are expected to wear name badges. Many members make one based on the pattern of the last donation quilt, but any pattern will do. Those who forget to wear a badge are fined $.25 and given a paper name tag to wear. New members are given a choice of designs they can use to make a name tag. Knowing the number of members and guests present not only guides us in planning our meeting setups, but it also makes you eligible for the membership drawing!
