Johnny Johnston will teach his Featherweight Maintenance Class – this is a must-take class for Featherweight owners! He will have machines for sale as well.
Here is what the class will cover:
1. A brief history of the Featherweight.
2. How to get the most from your Featherweight.
3. Common Featherweight problems and how to resolve them.
4. Doing your own maintenance. This is hands on and you will service your machine. Bring everything you have to maintain your 221 (see list below).
5. What are all those attachments for?
6. What new attachments are there for my Featherweight?
7. Questions & answers
What you need to bring to class:
1. Your personal Featherweight and everything you have for it ( book, accessory feet, motor lube, cleaning brush, screw driver, bobbins, needles, case, power & foot control cords, thread and cloth)
2. The oiler you use, if you have one.
3. A flashlight.
4. An old towel or cloth to set your machine and items on. (We don’t want to get the tables covered in oil and dirt.)
5. A piece of batting about 8” square.
6. A magnifying glass if you need one to help you see small things.
7. A couple of rags.

Join Ellen G for this workshop to create the Crooked Path Quilt. Ellen will break down the steps to make this intricate-looking quilt a breeze to create. This is a large quilt (approximate size: 80” x 100”) with large blocks for maximum impact. You can make fewer blocks so it finishes about 60” x 80” without losing the design impact.
Advance reservations are required for this event. Cost is $25.
